Who are we and why was portable-apps.com created? Well, let's start at the very beginning. Our domain name was purchased on April 3, 2019 and after configuring the CNAME, A Record and 301 redirection, this blog was up and running precisely 2 days later. I won't bore you with lengthy details, so here's why I decided to put this online.
The equation Is pretty simple- why Install applications when you don't have to? The majority of websites and blogs that you come across during your online navigation, offer software downloads with the need to go through the Installation process on your PC. I certainly don't like changes made to my computer, and I'm sure you share the same opinion.
Every application here at portable-apps.com, Is just that, portable without the need to Install. Simply execute the app, and use It thereafter. You can carry the app with you on a USB stick (hence "portable") and run It on any compatible Windows-based PC.
Prior to posting applications, I personally test each and every one on a dedicated system to make sure they're 100% clean, by executing In a sandbox environment and analyzing the file Immediately after. Once deemed safe, only then are the files uploaded and contributed.
What I'm completely opposed to, Is advertisements (ads) and redirection download links with popups, filling CAPTCHA codes and waiting periods, all for the sake of making a few dollars. That's pure garbage and utter BS. You will not see either of the two, and never will! For your convenience, I've provided a minimum of 4 direct download links. Select the one suited to your usability, and you're good to go.
At times, some apps require admin privileges to execute and function so as per the Image below, right-click the executable file and select "Run as administrator".
