BulkFileChanger v1.65 Portable

Small and portable app that changes file attributes (in single or batch mode) for any type of format, featuring exporting options. BulkFileChanger is a small utility that allows you to create files list from multiple folders, and then make some action on them - Modify their created/modified/accessed time, change their file attribute (Read Only, Hidden, System), run an executable with these files as parameter, and copy/cut paste into Explorer.

BulkFileChanger is a tiny and portable software application that enables users to modify the date and time attributes of any file type. It comprises a few useful options that can be easily tweaked by any type of user.

As installation is not a requirement, you can drop the executable file to any location on the hard disk and just click it to run.

There is also the possibility of saving the tool to a pen drive or similar storage unit, in order to run it on any PC with minimum effort and no previous installers.

What's more, BulkFileChanger does not create new entries in the Start menu or Windows registry, leaving the disk clean after removal.

While the interface does not stand out from the visual perspective, it's quite clear and intuitive to work with. Files can be added to the list using either the file browser or drag-and-drop support. It is also possible to include multiple items from a directory and apply wildcards, select the subfolder depth, as well as customize the content type to include: files and/or folders.

The list of records shows the name, full path, time of creation, modification and last access, size, attributes, extension, last known errors, together with the creation and modification time difference for each item.

All or just selected entries can be copied to the Clipboard or exported to an external file (HTML, TXT, CSV, HTM, HTML, XML). A search function comes in handy when dealing with a long list of entries. Plus, time can be shown in GMT format.

When it comes to altering file attributes, it is possible to edit the date and time of creation, modification and last access, add time (from hours to years), copy the time from a specific attribute (e.g. EXIF generated time) to another one, as well as change labels (archive, read-only, temporary, hidden, system). The command can be executed on all selected files at once.

Whenever a computer running Windows suddenly reboots without displaying any notice or blue or black screen of death, the first thing that is often thought about is a hardware failure. In reality, most crashes are caused by malfunctioning device drivers and kernel modules. In case of a kernel error, most computers running Windows do not show a blue or black screen unless they are configured to do so. Instead these systems suddenly reboot without any notice.
