Balabolka v2.15.0.6 Portable


Text-to-speech tool with the Microsoft Anna voice and generous features, such as Clipboard monitor, text extraction, batch file conversion, spellchecker, along with speech rate, pitch and volume adjustment. Balabolka is a software program which allows you to convert text to speech. It comes in handy for saving the audio recording afterward using a different tool, and integrating it as narration into a video that will be uploaded to YouTube (e.g. tutorial), for example.


This is the portable version of Balabolka - a tool which allows you to convert text to speech. It supports multiple file types for the input, such as TXT, EPUB, CHM, DOCX, DOC, HTM and HTML.

Since installation is not required, you can store Balabolka on a removable device (like a USB flash drive), save it to any computer and directly run its executable file. Therefore, you can carry Balabolka with you whenever you're on the go.

What's more important is that the Windows Registry is not updated with new items, and no leftover files can be found on the hard drive after program removal.

The interface of the application is clean and pretty intuitive. Opening a text document can be done by using either the file browser or 'drag and drop' method.

The only available voice is Microsoft Anna. Balabolka comes with a wide range of customization preferences which focus on the rate, pitch, pronunciation, volume, spell checking, Clipboard monitoring, timing and text formatting, just to name a few.

Additional tools of Balabolka allow you to split files, convert items in batch mode to audio, extract text from files, compare two files, repeat text, as well as use a magnifier and translation tool, among others.

The program needs a pretty high amount of CPU and system memory, has a good response time and includes user documentation. Balabolka did not freeze, crash or pop up error dialogs. First-time users may take a while to get familiarized with Balabolka's features.
